The companions of The Prophet, peace be upon him, used to ask Allah (swt) 6 months before Ramadan to give them life enough to live another Ramadan. Then after Ramadan for 6 months, they used to ask Allah (swt) to accept their fasting and deeds during Ramadan. Ramadan was central to everything that they did. Most people kinda loaf their way into Ramadan.[To loaf: To pass time at leisure; idle] Most people think about how to just survive Ramadan. They don't think about how to milk the blessed month. How to get every single seconds worth. Instead, they worry about their caffein addiction and whether they'll get migraines this time or not(because they'll be fasting). Others will worry about how long it'll be because it's summer. Or how hot it'll be. And then in some (Eastern) countries some people are already planning for all the chill-outs at night, for all the sheesha and mint tea. All the dramas and quiz shows on TV ! And time passes them by.Life passes them by. Ramadan is a month to be prepared for. You can't expect to fast 30 days cold turkey, whilst still being able to concentrate at work ! You can't expect to read The Quran fully whilst fasting and praying taraweeh and tahajud, if you can't read The Quran in months where you're not doing those things. How can you do more when whilst doing more, if you can't do more when you're not doing as much ?It doesn't make sense. Those that prepare for Ramadan will fly. The devils are tied and locked away, so it is THE MONTH of personal development. The month of personal enrichment. Will Ramadan be a plateau up for you ?... or ...will it just be a bridge to the year after ? Some people walk away from Ramadan with many millennia's worth of reward ! Will you be one of them ? Jazakumullah
